Introspect

This project was developed for 'Design to Trend', a fashion class I took. We had to research a trend and develop a line of products that fit that trend. This project taught me about trend research and challenged me to expand my sketching skills to fashion sketching.

 

A Lost generation

With the rise of globalization and social media, millennial women have been encouraged to project a certain image to the world. The importance of personal branding and the curation of one’s online presence is heavily emphasized by our society. Women have spent so much time carefully curating their outward image that they’ve lost sight of their inner self.

Years of sharing every piece of their lives with others has caused them to lose touch with their inner selves. Women are growing tired of carefully curating their lives on the outside only to be confused about who they are internally. This loss of self has women longing for a place of self-discovery. They are seeking for ways to recapture their essence.
